2-minute survey on the attitude towards whales and whaling
Later on this year, Routledge will publish the book Japan’s Withdrawal from International Whaling Regulation: Implications for Global Environmental Diplomacy, edited by Dr Nikolas Sellheim & Prof Joji Morishita. The book will be a collection of articles that consider the IWC from different perspectives in light of Japan’s withdrawal from the International Convention for the Regulation of Whaling (ICRW) in July 2019.
Dr Sellheim’s contribution to the book aims get a better understanding of the ways whales and whaling are culturally perceived in order to allow for a new mode of communication between IWC members. In order to get first hand data, the 2-minute survey on the attitude towards whales and whaling will help to shape the argument.
