Dr Nikolas Sellheim and his colleague Jessica Lefevre (United States) have been awarded a contract to carry out a survey on indigenous and human rights instruments by the International Whaling Commission (IWC). The project aims to improve the Aboriginal Subsistence Whaling (ASW) regime and to establish closer links to other bodies and instruments relevant for indigenous rights.

The report will be presented to the Commission at its next meeting in the fall of 2024.
